Me Papineau has graduated from the University of Ottawa and was admitted to the Bar of Quebec in 1979. He is also a member of the National Chamber of Experts in Co-Ownership (France).

His practice is oriented in property law and more particularly in right of co-ownership and hypothecary recourse.

Me Papineau has been teaching at the Bar school and has been a lecturer at the Quebec Bar, the Canadian Bar Association and the Quebec Notary Chamber. He is the author of Le Formulaire de Droit des Sûretés Immobilières, the co-author of the Code de la Copropriété Divise 2007, of Condos, everything you should know and of the Guide de procédure et de fonctionnement des assemblées des copropriétaires (2008). His most recent book, Les Charges de Copropriété et leur Recouvrement, is also available.

Besides practicing law, he is an accredited mediator and acts regularly as a referee in co-ownership issues.
